Armed with an MA in Translation and Interpretation (French, Spanish and Dutch), she graduated in 1991 from the then ‘Provinciale Hogeschool voor Vertalers en Tolken’ (now Ghent University). Not only does she love languages and translation, she also has a penchant for classical music, literature, architecture, theatre and culture in general. In her private life, she has a great passion for her husband, four children and her two whippet dogs.
Over the years, she has built up an extensive clientele of companies and associations from a wide range of sectors. There is no lack of variety, but the lasting success of an activity is also determined by the extent to which people dare to specialise in it. And for Taal-ad-visie, this specialisation has become art and culture. It was written in the stars …
"If you’re looking for something exclusive, something out of the ordinary, then you’ve come to the right place. Taal-ad-visie increases a text’s shelf life and potential by professionally converting it into another language and making it accessible to an even wider (international) audience. Our exclusivity lies in our experience in the arts sector.
Over the years, Taal-ad-visie has developed a unique corporate identity that is highly appreciated by its existing clients. Art- and culture-related texts are often complex and of a different order altogether, at the real risk of becoming even more obscure for the reader once it’s been translated. We ensure that the translated text is at least as transparent and meaningful as the source text, without losing any of its meaning.
Under the heading "Our customers", you get an idea of who we’ve been able to delight with a translation over the past 22 years. After all, in a sector such as art and culture, the total satisfaction of our customers is particularly important to us. We don't do it for less."
